Who is Kouchd for?
Kouchd is for hosts and guests sharing a home for a weekend, a season, or somewhere in between. It keeps stay dates, house rules, chores, and contribution records in one private, shared space.
Does Kouchd handle payments or collect rent?
No, never. Kouchd is a shared notebook and ledger, not a payment processor. Any money is exchanged directly between host and guest using your preferred payment apps (like Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App).
What does Kouchd cost for hosts?
Hosts can start free with 1 active stay and 1 active guest. Kouchd Plus is $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year on both web and iPhone (~17% discount when billed annually). Plus adds subleasing and utility bill splitting. See plans for full details.
Can guests use Kouchd for free?
Yes. Guests can join a stay for free with an invite code or link from their host. Guests never have to enter payment details to participate.
Is there an iPhone app available?
The Kouchd native iPhone app is releasing soon via Apple TestFlight (v0.9.x) for early beta testers! Reach out through our contact form to request beta access. In the meantime, Kouchd works smoothly in Safari on any phone or tablet.
How does cancellation and refunds work?
Hosts can cancel Kouchd Plus anytime under Settings with zero hassle. Plus features remain active through your billing period. We also offer a 14-day refund window on software subscriptions.
