Cookie Policy

Effective Date: October 31, 2026 · Last updated: October 31, 2026 · Brand: Wrelik Brands LLC (operating Kouchd)

This Cookie Policy explains how Wrelik Brands LLC uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on Kouchd (kouchd.com).

1. What are cookies and local storage?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites that you visit. Local storage is a modern web browser mechanism that stores data locally on your device with no expiration date unless cleared.

Kouchd uses cookies and local browser storage to provide secure authentication, maintain your session, protect against fraudulent activity, remember interface preferences, and understand aggregate application performance.

2. Categories of cookies we use

We classify cookies and storage technologies into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary (Essential): These technologies are required for Kouchd to function securely. They include authentication session cookies (provided via Clerk), CSRF protection tokens, and cryptographic security cookies. You cannot disable essential cookies without breaking core application login and security.
  • Functionality and preferences: These store your display preferences, active household context, theme settings, and sidebar states so you don't have to reconfigure them each time you visit.
  • Performance and diagnostics: The Kouchd marketing website loads Google Analytics 4 only after you allow analytics. PostHog counts page views and clicks without cookies or storage until then, and whenever you choose Only necessary, using an anonymous identifier that changes every day (derived from your IP address and browser details, which are not stored). It stores a visitor cookie and records session replays only after you allow analytics. This choice does not grant advertising consent. In the Kouchd app, privacy-friendly diagnostic tools (such as Sentry for crash tracking and PostHog for product telemetry) may be used to identify bugs and improve usability. These tools are not intended for cross-site behavioral advertising.
  • Advertising (only with your permission): With your permission (“Allow analytics and ads” on kouchd.com), the Meta Pixel sets cookies on kouchd.com and in the Kouchd web app to measure our ads. Without that choice, or when your browser sends Global Privacy Control, no advertising cookies are set.

3. Third-party technologies

The only advertising network we use is Meta. Its Pixel loads only if you choose “Allow analytics and ads” on kouchd.com and your browser does not send Global Privacy Control. On the Kouchd marketing website, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-L668QY22EX) is loaded only after you allow analytics and is not loaded when you choose Only necessary; PostHog sets cookies only after that choice. Google receives information about your visit when Google Analytics runs. Third-party technologies in the Kouchd app include service providers acting on our behalf, such as Clerk (authentication), Convex (real-time data sync), and Sentry (error diagnostics).

Use Cookie settings (also labelled Your Privacy Choices) in the Kouchd website footer to allow analytics, allow analytics and ads, or return to Only necessary. Your choice is saved in local storage. If you withdraw analytics consent after enabling it, the page reloads so Google Analytics is not loaded on the next page view. Most web browsers also allow you to control cookies through their browser settings. If you block essential cookies in the app, you may not be able to log in or maintain an active session.
